Synopsis

As part of his role working as PR and sponsorship manager for Britain’s biggest motorcycle insurance specialist, Paul devised and delivered a VIP event to give customers a chance to meet some of the country’s biggest motorcycling stars.

Following on from the success of the first VIP evening, which was held at Riley’s Sports Bar in London’s West End and saw MotoGP star Scott Redding take to the stage with TT icon John McGuinness and GP winner Jeremy McWilliams, a second event for 250 customers, media and competition winners was staged on the eve of Motorcycle Live at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The event saw Matt Roberts once again host a live show that featured McGuinness, who was this time joined by newly-crowned Moto3 world champion Danny Kent, a massive coup for the event, as well as Bennetts Suzuki rider Christian Iddon, Bennetts-backed youngster Rory Skinner and British legend Niall Mackenzie, who had won that summer’s Bennetts-sponsored Pro-Am revival race at the British Grand Prix.

The 90 minute event, which can be viewed below, created a massive social media buzz in the run-up to the event as fans tried to secure passes for the show. Feedback from customers was also universally positive and fulfilled the brief of celebrating a year of British success by bringing the company’s sponsorship assets to life.

The event provided a premium experience that successfully launched the 70 year old company’s new corporate identity, with Paul managing all aspects of the event including budgeting, creative direction, talent booking and venue management.
